First Trip to Shepparton

After returning from Fiji and after Steve, Regan and Owen had settled into their town house in Shepparton we paid them a visit. The trip from Geelong to Shep takes about 3 1/2 hours by car. Helped Steve pick up and assemble their new dining room setting. This post is a little late, the visit was around the 4th September 2010, but the pics were on the camera which has not seen a down load for a while. We had a great time engaged in long conversations with Owen.

Some More Pics from the Fiji Holiday

Trip to Shepparton

Last weekend we travelled to Shepparton to visit Steve and Regan and Owen in their new apartment. Steve got a new job with Broadcast Australia and moved up several weeks prior, while we were in Fiji. Sorry Steve that we couldn't help with the move.

Anyway they are all settled now. No pics of the apartment, but here are a few of a very happy Grannie and her grandson.

Exhibiting at ICOMS 2010

Kevin and I travelled to Adelaide last week to exhibit at ICOMS 2010. This year the venue was at the Adelaide University and the vendors took over Bonython Hall to set up the exhibition stands.

As you can see by the pics, it was a great venue.

The trip home was via Renmark and Mildura so we could keep an appointment at Renmark Irrigation Trust. Got to see a lot of country Victoria and the Murray River. Renmark and Mildura are remarkably pretty towns. Must make a return trip.

Owen Placed an Order for a Mobile

Grandchildren can really test your limits. I thought mobiles would be easy. But Gaye and I found getting the balance point just right a little fiddly. Needed just a little dash of Scotch in my tea to get this project across the line.

More pics from the Visit

John Vic and Madd Visit

There has been so many things happening, I haven't had an opportunity to write them up.

The very next weekend after Gaye arrived back in Geelong from her visit to Sydney, Vic, John and Maddie were visiting us. What a treat. John had to return to work at the end of the weekend, but Vic and Maddie stayed on providing us with plenty of photo opportunities. Even in the short space of one week Madeleine has started to crawl and every day comes up with a new thing to do, like a different style of smile, or noise to make. All aimed I am sure at making us think she is the most charming little baby on the planet.

The boxes are a little project that Vic and I worked on together in the spare moments Maddie allowed her.

Triton Scroll Saw

With two grandchildren it was time to hone up on my toy making skills, so to get started I purchased a scroll saw a week back. Already Owen is the recipient of OwenTrain. Madeleine has hr name blocked out in pine and a couple of other projects are under way.
Gotta thank Sue for most of the money that went into the purchase. She was able to give us a couple of vouchers for participating in a survey for Miter 10.
Oh, also for good record keeping, Sue has been working for the Group for one week now, after quitting after a months and a half from Ogilvy. Ogilvy is a large company and Sue prefers to work with smaller organisations.

Whilst Gaye stayed with Dim and Sue checking out the local markets and activities that Redfern had to offer, I stayed with Vic n John and caught up on some surfing and bike riding. Also investigated gliders at the local hobby shop and purchased a Canterbury Sailplanes 'Dart'.Saturday we caught up with John Flynn over taps at Dee Why Beach and shared some stories and made plans for some winter sailing.Sunday Grant and Suzie and Luca joined Vic, John, Maddie, Sue, Dim and me for a barbie lunch and a couple of nice reds.
