.... better than switching on the lights on the Xmas tree.
Life is not to be measured in the number of breaths we take, but in the number of moments we make.

Coffee at the Marina Today
Today's coffee spot was the car park at the Club. We were entertained by a white egret water bird. Pity not a video because he walked in time with the hip-hop music on the radio.

Sonos for the TV
Finally did it and got a good speaker for the TV. It has voice clarifying technology, which really does work. Who would have thought.

Music Update
The last 4 weeks I have been participating in the Zoom Thursday Folk Group Session, from Evergreen. James Daley has been leading the group of around twelve to fifteen participants.several songs have been covered, including, Corinne. Or in a, Perfect Day, Dark Eyes, Winter Hymnal, From St Kilda to Kings Cross, El. Condor Pasa, etc. Perfect Day has been selected for recording and compiling. My efforts are underdone by about four weeks and will test James editing skills I’m sure.
Much fun and lots learned. To fast track my understanding of comping and playing with a group I’ve also signed up for a few lessons with Lauren, who has proved to be an excellent tutor for me at this stage of my learning.

Mikaela’s 5th Birthday Party Celebration
Happy birthday Mikaela. A little different this one, but a pleasure singing the birthday song for you. That ice cream cake that Mom and Dad brought you looked great. I bet it was delicious. Luca certainly looked like he was enjoying his portion. I see Maddie and Amelia did some special baking so they could enjoy some cake with you. And Owen, Alannah and Zoe certainly could sing up a storm. Happy Birthday Mika.

Sunday Night Lockdown Entertainment
Sunday evening Zoom catch up. So much fun. We all did the Bluey Dance as demonstrated by Zoe. Luca was proudly sporting his new ‘hat’. Owen and Alannah enjoyed all the action and cousin catch up time. Mika had the biggest smile ever. Amelia showed us here remarkable plant collection and Maddie showed us last nights sleepover arrangements.
Thanks guys for a great catch up.

CV 19 Project
The old replication sextant needed a box. It’s coming up a treat with some wax. The ‘new ‘ look box doesn’t fit the ‘old’ look sextant, but couldn’t bring ourselves to ‘age’ the box artificially.

Muriel Elizabeth winning the Wooden Boat Festival Passage Race.
Pic credit per post from Instagram. Bazas boat, Muriel Elizabeth is the blue hull center right in the pic. The pic was taken at Portarlington, inside the new harbour in the evening, after we had left her there after the sail from Queenscliff. Baz, Dave Colins, Simon Dodd’s and I brought here around. We were joined by Kingie for the Saturday passage race to geelong.
Great race... we won. Yay. We also won the series, because further racing on Sunday was cancelled due to high winds.

Space Station
Saw the Space Station fly over this evening. Moves fast. We saw it in the sky for only 2 minutes at around 21:20. It travels at 27,555 Klm per hour. It circles the planet every hour and a half. Very impressive.
Nice info on the web.

Christmas 2019
Huge bushfires this year. Started early and consuming huge tracts of SE Australia.
Smoke haze has only affected us for 2 days, unlike most of the rest of the Eastern seaboard.
Anyway, lovely visit from all, and we managed to get pictures of all the GC’s in one place.
Sue came down with Luca and Mikaela by Jetstar, arriving at Avalon Airport a couple of days before Dim who drove.
They returned with Luca only by car providing Nic and Vas a great opportunity to spend some time with Mike.
Vic, John, Maddie and Amelia and Rolo and Amelia’s plants drove down, but not without a stopover in Jindabyne and Kosciusko for a couple of days on the way.
All stayed with us and we enjoyed Christmas morning together. Reindeer poo proved Santa had visited. Then everyone was off to other commitments.
Sue, Dim and Luca caught up with John and Vic in Gundagai and slipped thru road closures due to bushfires.
Jeff and Jill dropped Madds and Amelia off today so we could get them up to Bacchus Marsh for a sleepover with cousins Owen, Alannah and Zoe.
We couldn’t leave without mowing the lawns to reduce the risk of snake hiding in the grass.
So here are the photos.
