Up to Shepparton for a Day

Later this week I plan to sail to Sydney on Peregrine, so on Thursday and Friday Gaye and I went to Shepparton to see Steve, Regan and Owen and to drop off a freezer for Regan.

Steve reports that his new job at Broadcast Australia is going great. He has spent the last three weeks on training.

While Steve was working we took Regan and Owen to the Chocolate Cafe just South of Shep.

We are off to Sydney

After performing relatively successfully against Peter Sorrensen sailing his Sydney 36 in the Audi Regatta in Geelong we sat in the back of the boat drinking beer and wondering if we could put together a complete campaign. Well step one under way. next week we will take Peregrine to Sydney to compete in the second leg o the Audi Series.
Janet, Tom and I will do the delivery trip. We have 8 people organised to do the racing o 4th and 5th March. Then back to Geelong the following weekend.

We pinged a first on the weekend (our first first this season) racing Peregrine. We were even short handed with only 5 sailing - From the back of the boat - Ryan, Janet, Me, Charlotte, and Luke who was loooking after the bow. Big cudos to Luke..

Steve's New Car

Bone Bonus

Gaye was delighted with the results of her bone density test. After 2 years of medicine her bones have recovered to that of a 65 year old. This opens up many doors that once seemed closed to her. This news came on the very same day that was my last day of work. Life is good.

Vic and John and Madeleine Visit

While I played hostess to little Maddie Geoff was down at the Yacht club for the racing(first 1st of the season) and preparing Perigan for the sail north to Sydney and the second round of the Audi IRC series

We also learned that Steven and Regan are expecting their second child next August. Great news indeed but I think Owen may not be so pleased.

A real treat for Gaye. She got to babysit Maddie for Vic and John when they came down this weekend to attend a wedding in Melbourne. Maddie is now 15 months old, walking and is able to communicate any needs and has great language comprehension.

Also this is the first of the rest of our lives with Geoff now retired. Yahoooooo.
