Buchan Caves
Booked a second night at Nowa Nowa, left the bags in the room and cycled unladen to Buchan Caves. Just as well we left the load behind, as some of the hills were real killers. It rained to boot. There is a east coast low causing thunderstorms and plenty of rain. Visited the Fairy Cave in wet shorts and shirt. Not withstanding the cave visit was excellent.

Great result for our first Tuff Marine night race. Third across the line. Second on corrected time. Must have been the muscle removal.

At Nowa Nowa....
.... enjoying a beer in the pub after 60 klm ride, mainly on dirt forestry roads. Started in Bairnsdale thismorning. Weather got a little unexpectedly hot toping out at 33 deg. Roads and tracks a little hard going with some areas deep in bulldust.
Weather permitting will ride to Buchan Caves tomorrow.

I think there is a bird problem at Southern Cross Station. ...
... or a cleaning problem. Ah well just another one to add to my list of dislikes for this train station.

Serviettes Tray for Regan
Tired of loosing serviettes off the dining table every time the back door was opened, Regan requested at tray built to hold them.
Made from Blackwood milled from a stump Helen had given me and finished with urethane, I think it has come up ok.
I had quarter sawn the stump in the hope of bringing out the figure, which has worked well.
I'm particularly happy with the little hand cut dovetails too.
