Wow... Found some Walnut



Poked my nose over the side fence thismorning to find Murray had a tree guy in to thin out his backyard a bit.  Laury... the tree guy mentioned he had just cut down a wallnut tree in the yard of one of Geelongs older homes and would I like some. Welll YES of course...

Whaleboat Resources

I chanced upon a book and set of plan for a New Bedford Whaleboat on eBay the other day and purchased them. This may well be my next model build. Plenty of information and details.

Before I commenced I thought it worth while to do a little further investigation into whaleboat history and design.

Made it to Sydney

Catching up with VJM&M after arriving in Sydney on Sunday morning. Vic picked me up from Hugh and Allisons home where the delivery crew were treated the hot showere and a loverly lunch on the back terrace. john and the girls were at the local school fete enjoying the jumping castle, face painting and stall giveaways.

Still in Southport

Caught up with Jacs friend , Geoff last night for dinner at the S Port yacht club. Great roast for $13. This club is great, prices are better than back home. 
Pen is costing $61 per day. Membership fee is $400. 
Weather is moderating .. finally, so will leave for Sydney tonight after dinner. 

Geoff picked us up thismorningfor coffee and eggs on his loverly Lagoon 440, where we were Rick joined us.
