No Wind, but Nice W/End

A call to Red and then some intelligence on how the wind on the lake was looking from Frant confirmed the decision to hit the lake for a sail on Sat arvo would be a good one. Unfortunately on arriving we found a notice that the dredded red/green algae had infected our fav sailing spot. Bugger, the wind was filling in too. Red was a bit disconsolate, he had been sailing here only yesterday in 30k of sou'westerly - no signs of rga at that time. Hope he doesn't wake up with purple spots.

Sunday promised a 20k sea breeze. Didn't arrive so we were off to Jeff and Jill's with a bottle of red for and uninvited visit. We arrived - no one there- hmm, so that's why you ring before you arrive.

Well what to do now - off to Kilgor Winery for a glass of Piont Gris and the view.

Better than break even w/end..

Dim Leaves for London - Sue Brushes up on Her Yoga

Dim is in London, so it seems Sue has time on her hands and has signed up for a 2 week intensive yoga class. Something along the lines of 3 evening sessions during the week and a long session on Saturday mornings. Here she is showing super balance and poise limbering down after session no 1.

John Visits and We Stay O/Night at Sue's Appartment

John was down for a day on business and stayed late so we could catch up. Sue joined us and we had a nice meal at Iku Izakaya. Sue has signed up for 2 weeks intensive yoga and her first class was scheduled for tonight, so she had to leave early.

We later caught up, stayed the night at her apartment and checked out her latest fav gadget and her European styled couch.

In Gaye's Garden

Its summer and despite the lack of water (we are still on Stage 4 water restrictions) Gaye's garden is responding to her 'green thumb'. We waited a long time for the magnolia to bloom, but when it did, if we had blinked we would have missed it.

Jayco Bay Classic 2009

Baden Cook soldiering on after a major crash

Just luv this event. Its a regular in our Calendar. Can't get along to all 5 days racing. These pics are from Sunday's racing in the Botanical Gardens.

Minya by Moonlight Concert.

The Minya Winery is located just a few short kilometers from home and the moonlight series have been popular with us for the last couple of years. Last night the featured artist was Angie Browning. Steve, Regan, Sue and Dim joined us for a great evening listening to Angie's beautiful and captivating voice whilst we took in the atmosphere and worked our way thru the picnic hamper. The wine is pretty good too.
