Scored some Cyprus Pine

A big cyprus pine growing on the side of the Barwon River was in the process of being cut down as we drove by late last week. We stopped and asked if we could have a couple of pieces. The guys said knock yourself out. So we did! Looks like I have a bunch of chain saw work and turning projects ahead of me.. 

 I tried one out. It cuts like butter. It is obviously very green and wet, so I had to stand clear of the spray of water as well as the chips.
