Gaye and I have spent the last two weeks in the wonderful Whitsunday Islands with Dave B on board of John's catamaran, Spirited 1.
Some of the highlights of the trip were;
* catching up with old friends;
* a close encounter with a whale and her calf. This was a first for Gaye;
* navigating into the estuary - Hill Inlet and a climb up the hill for some stunning photos of the estuary, on one side, and the pristine Whitehaven Beach on the other;
* a feast of mud crabs courtesy of Gorden and Bev;
* some excellent sailing
* seeing the moods of nature (ed note: that cheesy one is from Gaye)
