How Good is this Technology

As I said to Vic after receiving them:

I have to admit when ultrasounds were done on you guys, the nurse and Mom were getting all excited, saying there's a foot, there's a hand, there's a little heart beating. I tried very hard to see these things as the ultrasound skimmed over moms belly, I couldn’t. All I could see was something like a very poorly tuned black and white television signal. Eventually saying yerrr, look at that!!! So I could join in on the excitement and nobody would be disappointed.

But, with your pics, well you can see the baby very well, scaringly very well actually.
