High Tides and WIld Seas
The tide was particularly high and along with the big seas whipped up from the westerly fronts over the past couple of days made for exciting times down on the beach. A little too exciting for one of three girls on the back beach who were chasing the waves up and down to sand at the time. One particularly large wave caught the slowest of the girls and she disappeared into the wall of water. The wave exploded into spray against the seawall completely engulfing her. She became visible again clinging to the wall only after what was left of the 6 ft wave receded
back down the beach.
